* Application Fee is required to start the admissions process. This fee covers the administrative cost of the necessary assessments conducted by our academic leadership team, teachers, and support staff prior to your child being offered a place in school.

For new families, tuition fees are pro-rated by month if the students begin their course after the academic semester has commenced. Note that the students will be billed for the month that they start the school irrespective of the start date within the month.

SIBLING DISCOUNTS

At XCL American Academy, we offer sibling’s discount from the 3rd child and onwards, with the younger child/ren receiving the sibling’s discount. You will receive a $2000 sibling’s discount from your 3rd child as well as any children beyond. For more information, please approach our friendly admissions team at admissions@xaa.edu.sg for further clarification.

* All tuition fees must be paid before the commencement of each semester by the payment deadline indicated below (or the date outlined on your invoice).
** For payment installment options, we offer a twice-yearly option (50/50) and a quarterly installment payment option. Please note that there will be an additional 8% installment charge for the quarterly payment option. To find out more, please get in touch with our Admission Team at admissions@xaa.edu.sg.

School Fees FAQs

WHAT’S INCLUDED IN THE FEES AND WHAT’S NOT INCLUDED?

By focusing on what really matters to both students and parents, we provide a high quality, exceptional value, values-driven learning experience which is highly accessible and affordable to all.

Included within the tuition fees:

  • Goods and Services Taxes (GST).
  • Academic Progress Testing.
  • Essential academic resources, textbooks, learning materials and resources.
  • For all school-related activities and excursions, with the exception of any overnight trips, the school will provide bus transportation for our students.

NOT Included within the tuition fees:

  • School uniforms (estimated to be ~$100-$160 (excluding GST) for a full set, including standard uniform and PE attire).
  • Overnight/overseas learning trips/excursions (~$500 to $3,150 excluding GST per year), depending on the activity/activities.
  • Extra-Curricular Activities (ECAs) ($100 excluding GST per quarter for activities conducted by school staff; $200-$500 excluding GST per quarter for activities provided through external vendors). ECAs are not compulsory but highly encouraged. Please note there are 4 quarters in a school year.
  • Island-wide door-to-door school bus/transportation services (subject to distance, paid directly to external bus vendor).
  • Lunch/snacks (~$28- $50/week, depending on the number of meals ordered). Students are welcome to bring a packed lunch/snack to school.
  • For Learning Support fees, please refer to above Tuition Fees Schedule under “Miscellaneous”.
  • English as Additional Language (EAL) program is offered to students from Grade 1. For EAL fees, please refer to the above Tuition Fees Schedule under “Miscellaneous”.
  • Stationery (costs vary, depending on the grade and subject). The school provides essential stationery resources used within the classroom setting; however, personal items that students take home with them every day (such as calculators, exercise books, markers, pens/pencils, etc.) should be acquired from outside vendors.
  • External Examinations Fee (if required, these fees are based on the actual costs charged to the school).

Students transitioning into Grade 9 at XCL World Academy are eligible to apply for a scholarship at XCL World Academy. Students who are academically gifted and/or have particular talents in the arts or sports are encouraged to apply*.
