Student Testimonial:

Malika-Bassim

I’ve been a part of XCL American Academy (XAA) for nearly a year and a half, starting from Grade 3. When I visited the school for the first time during Orientation Day, I fell in love with the facilities and the welcoming staff and teachers. I felt a sense of belonging from the first day. I love how my school provides its students with the opportunity to explore new things and discover their talents through various extracurricular activities and events. The school makes learning more enjoyable by offering field trips.

Maths is my favourite subject! I love how it challenges my brain when I work on maths problems – it’s like solving a tricky puzzle or riddle. It stretches my thinking capabilities in problem-solving, and my teacher always finds ways to make maths fun and exciting.

Learning Mandarin has been a major highlight for me. Initially, it was challenging. With the support of my teachers, it became one of my major accomplishments in XAA. In addition, meeting new people from different countries, backgrounds and diverse cultures really helped me gain a lot of experience and get out of my comfort zone.

When I graduate, I want to be a veterinarian to make a difference in the lives of animals. Besides that, I would love to be an interior designer to express myself and work on different projects with creativity – for example, taking a blank space and turning it into something beautiful and making someone happy.
